If you’ve ever asked a photographer, “Do you deliver all the photos you take?”—you’re not alone. It’s one of the most common questions we get at Jess Jane Studios, especially from couples who are trying to make sure they’re getting the best value from their wedding or engagement session.
And the short answer? Not exactly. But there’s a good reason why—and it actually benefits you.
Why We Don’t Deliver Every Single Photo
Here’s the deal: during a typical wedding or session, we take hundreds (sometimes thousands!) of photos. That includes test shots, duplicates, out-of-focus images, ones where someone blinked, mid-sneeze expressions, weird lighting situations—the works.
It’s a little like filming a movie. You shoot a lot of footage, but only the best moments make the final cut.
When we deliver your gallery, we carefully curate and edit the best images to tell your story beautifully. Every photo you receive is professionally edited, thoughtfully selected, and ready to be printed, posted, or cherished forever. You’re getting quality over quantity—and trust us, you don’t want the photos where Uncle Bob is halfway through chewing his dinner roll.
What About RAW Files? Can I Have Those?
We totally get it—some folks ask for the RAW files either because they’re curious, tech-savvy, or maybe even hoping to save some money by editing the images themselves.
And we don’t mind sharing them if you really want them. That said, there are a few things to keep in mind:
- RAW files are huge and require special software to open (like Adobe Lightroom or Capture One).
- They’re unedited, straight-from-the-camera files, which means they don’t look like the polished, ready-to-share images you see in our portfolio.
- Editing is a big part of our style—what makes a Jess Jane Studios photo feel like you. So choosing to edit your own RAWs means you’re essentially opting out of that experience.
If you still want the RAW files, we can absolutely work that out. Just let us know ahead of time, and we’ll factor it into your session or package.

Every package we offer includes:

The number of final images depends on the session type, but we always aim to over-deliver.
